Another tough guy, with an oversized gun. Probably more brawn than brain and trying way way too hard to look relaxed. If he was relaxed he wouldn’t be keeping his gun closer than his drink, and he wouldn’t be wearing spy-cam glasses either. So maybe he wasn’t as stupid as he looked. After all it’s the stupid ones that relax.

In this business, no one really relaxes. It’s pretty much impossible. Being assassins and all, well mercenaries in his case. Still. Rule held. Relaxing is a great way to get dead.
Relaxing, not testing your drink, and not watching the bar tender, not being suspicious of the ridiculous blue lights. That’s how good, good as in good at their job, not good as in Virtuous, hired guns got dead. Virtuous folks died by being heroes. No life span. No pay, and no retirement plan.

No thanks.

And he’s already starting to lose a bit of the grip on that silly gun of his.
What was he thinking, trusting a stranger’s orange. No one realizes how easy it is to poison them.

Probably because I’m the only one that does it. Oddly enough everyone else who tries ends up in some kind of horrible accident.

Funny right?

And he takes another sip of top shelf brandy. Why anyone would ruin brandy by putting an orange slice in is beyond me. I don’t come up with other people’s weird habits. Just use them to my advantage.

Now he’s leaning against the table. Still holding the gun a bit too tight for my comfort though. I’ve been shot once. Rather avoid a second time.

Maybe I should have done a double dose. Pesky thing with these soldier types, never know what they’ve built a tolerance to. I’d wait though, patience is my only virtue.
A guy walks into a bar, contest entry
For the very awesome contest…

:iconjademacalla: is awesome, his stock is a lot of fun, even when looked at as photography.

I don't normally post writing, but this was for fun, so I figured why not.

Also just to sate my curiosity. What gender did you think the narrator is?

Prints! by LadyKylin
Couple of lino cut prints that I thought turned out well. Wish I'd been able ot keep the lines straighter.

Dice print
Lino cut print of dice.

I've never done anything quite like lino cut prints, so I think when it's all said and done this turned out pretty good.

So it's finally spring, which is one of my favorite times of the year, the flowers, the greenery, the warmth and an end to the short evenings.

And I love tulips, crocasses are awesome to. And robins are adorable.

So here's a question to all of you, what is your favorite sign of spring?
